Let’s Scuffle

Bill “Bojangles” Robinson

The famous tap dancer in his prime

Bill “Bojangles” Robinson was one of the most famous African-American performers of the 1930s and ‘40s.

A decent singer and actor, Bojangles was best known for his brilliant dancing which set the standard for many others who followed.

“Let’s Scuffle,” which was filmed in 1941, features Bill Robinson singing a hot number and then demonstrating some of his dance steps for a few choruses in a rousing performance.
