This recording was made on October 18, 1946 by Mildred Bailey accompanied on the piano by Ellis Larkins.
*Ellis Larkins was the first African American to attend the Peabody Conservatory of Music, a well-known institution in Baltimore, Maryland. He is perhaps best known for the recordings he made during the early part of the 1950’s with Ella Fitzgerald; appearing on two of her LPs “Ella Sings Gershwin” (1950) and “Songs in a Mellow Mood” (1954).
