This recording was made during a sound check, turned jam session held on March 13, 1941 by members of the Goodman Orchestra while waiting for Benny Goodman’s arrival in the studio

The participating musicians were as follows: Charlie Christian, guitar; Cootie Williams, trumpet; Georgie Auld, tenor sax; Johnny Guarnieri, piano; Artie Bernstein, bass; and Dave Tough, drums.

*The engineers did a sound check while the group was warming up and recorded it, capturing this amazing session.
