In this footage from a 1982 airing of “Parkinson,” the great British talk show host Michael Parkinson introduces Swing Era drummer extraordinaire, Buddy Rich who performs the “West Side Story Medley.”

*The “West Side Story Medley” was a big band arrangement derived from songs from Leonard Bernstein’s classic “West Side Story,” first released on the 1966 album Buddy Rich’s Swingin’ New Big Band.
