I Dood It
All of the hot swing music from the 1943 Red Skelton film
The 1943 Red Skelton comedy included more than its share of memorable musical moments.
This lengthy excerpt features the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra roaring through “One O’Clock Jump” before a frenzied crowd, Bob Eberle singing to Eleanor Powell (who tap-dances in a number with ropes), Bob Eberle and Helen O’Connell introducing “Star Eyes” (which they never recorded together), a Hawaiian dance number featuring Powell, Hazel Scott on “Taking A Chance On Love,” Lena Horne on “Jericho,” and a final tap-dance production by Powell.
