So Help Me
Earl Hines and his Orchestra
1938 recording
This recording was made by Earl Hines and his Orchestra in Chicago during a radio broadcast in 1938.
As proved on this record Earl Hines had little trouble adjusting to the Big Band sound of the late 1930’s.
*A large factor in his successful transition can be attributed to the fact that Earl had been far ahead of his time in both his method and musical understanding since the early 1920’s and continued to study and improve throughout his carrer.
