In this clip from the 1943 film “The Heat’s On” Hazel Scott shows off her amazing piano technique on the key boards of two grand pianos simultaneously.

A classically trained pianist Hazel proved her worth starring in several films and was also a prominent jazz singer throughout the 1930s and ’40s. And although short lived she was the first African American woman to have her own TV show.
