This record was made by in New York in 1936 violinist and singer Stuff Smith with his “Onyx Club Boys” a group including Jonah Jones, trumpet; and Cozy Cole, drums.

*The Onyx Club was a Jazz club founded in 1928, located on West 52d Street in New York City. Originally a speakeasy operated by bootlegger Joe Helbock, the Onyx remained open through the 1940’s featuring many Jazz greats of the period.
