In this 1935 film segment tenor saxophonist Coleman Hawkins announce and performs two full choruses of “I wish I were Twins” accompanied by Leo de la Fuente on piano.

At the time he was only 30 years old.

*The Dutch Polygoon company filmed events for news casts that were usually shown in the movie theatres before the headliners. This clip comes from one such program called “Jazz in the Netherlands.”

*”I Wish I Were Twins” was recorded and made popular by Fats Waller in 1934.
