In this excerpt from the 1937 film “Calling All Stars”, vaudeville song and dance duo “Buck & Bubbles” do their scat laden performance “The Rhythm’s OK in Harlem”.

The vaudeville team comprised of song and dance man John William Sublett(aka “Bubbles”) and stride pianist Ford Washington (aka “Buck”) first began performing together in New York in 1919.
