Cab Calloway Orchestra feat. The Cabaliers

In this clip from early 1942 Cab Calloway’s Orchestra performs with support from a vocal quartet billed as The Cabaliers, the group actually consisting of the three Palmer Brothers and Billy Green.

Calloway’s rhythm section was one of the finest in Big Band Jazz, comprised of Benny Payne, piano; Danny Barker, guitar; Milt Hinton, string bass; and Cozy Cole, drums.
