Here’s the high school studio band from Princeton, NJ, a town even smaller than Beloit.

“Princeton is a town of about 30,000 and PHS enrollment is only about 1,470, grades 9-12.

I used to teach in the Princeton HS feeder system, so I know the quality of their program. Give these a listen. Some of these students were mine in middle school. The drummer in the 3rd clip is one of them.

The film “Whiplash” is loosely based on the Princeton Studio Band program.”
